Arts and Crafts - More Sweets Deco

                      So tonight I wanted to share my deco projects I finished a while ago; I'm too lazy
             to make my own cabochons, so most of the little items are little plastic pieces, erasers,
             broken porcelain and glass figures, and cute beads, particularly Whirl n' Wear beads.
             Like my past projects, I used Whipple Cream for the fake cream, (you can buy it at any
            Toys' R Us), and Mod Podge as a sealer and to make it waterproof. (Whipple cream isn't
            waterproof; it also makes the erasers I used feel like plastic.) The box is a tissue box, and

Arts and Crafts Post! How to Make a Fake Flower Wreath

            Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for easy to make flower wreaths, and although
     one could argue that you can simply buy a pre-made one, or that they're fairly easy to make from
     the get-go, many people, like me, want something simple and not so time consuming. A normal
     wreath, regardless of size, needs many knots and twine, or knowing how to carefully braid the
     branches of the flowers in a circular way. I wanted to have a pastel wreath, which is almost
     impossible to find at this time of the year, so after much searching around, I found the perfect
     way to make a simple make-shift flower wreath. I found all the supplies at Hobby Lobby ,and
     the whole thing will take about 15 minutes to make, if not less.

             First, I wanted a handheld size wreath for room decor in my bedroom, so the pre-made
    wreaths and the regular wreath bases sold didn't cut it for me. I found what I wanted with an
    unorthodox method; I used a wedding band that they sold, originally intended to put the veil
    on the bride's head. Next, near the bridal section, small flowers were sold; the type you can use
    for hair corsages or party favors, and have bendable twine attached to them. Finally, I bought two
    butterflies from the outdoor decor section; (I think these are for indoor crafts though; most of
    the materials were delicate.)
             
         The band is fairly thin, so when I got the flowers I wanted, I twisted them around the
     band fairly easily, and sometimes on top of each other, until I got the look I desired. The
     butterflies were attached around the very end; I had a hard time keeping them in place so
     I had to criss- cross around the shape in order to tighten it, (you can see it better in the photos.)
     I was pretty satisfied with the end result, so now I have something cute hanging in my room. ~

                                                                              

Review of Tokyo Rebel - Innocent World's Antique Perfume Bottle Jumperskirt

           Hello everyone! In an attempt to catch up on my reviews, I'm going to be talking about my
      order with Tokyo Rebel a few weeks back. I went to Tokyo Rebel in their old location in the
      summer of 2010, and purchased my first brand dress from Angelic Pretty. This was the second
      time I made a purchase by them, though it is the first purchase online. The service in the
      actual store was very respectable and courteous, and I'm glad to say I had no problems when
      I purchased online.
        
           Unlike other online shops, where you have to make an account with the shop before buying
     anything, the Tokyo Rebel shop takes you straight to checkout, and gives you the option of
     subscribing to their newsletter or not. The shipping was very fast; I ordered the dress on
     September 6, and received it on September 10. The dress was $159.00, and the approximate
     shipping cost was $15.00, so the cost was originally $174.00. However they were kind
     enough to inform me in an e-mail, that the actual shipping was less so I got the overall purchase
     for $170.95.

           The package was well delivered; no holes or dents in the box, and was very professionally
    done. Inside they were kind enough to give me a thank you card, and an Innocent World
    shopping bag along with the dress and tags. The dress was packaged in the bag, and was
    just darling; it looked just like the stock photos! For reference, here is a photo.
   The experience with Tokyo Rebel has been quick, friendly, and very efficient, and I can't

Review of Angelic Pretty USA: Polkadot Chocolate Onepiece

                  Good day everyone! It's the first of October, and to start on a new leaf, so to speak,
        I'm going to be doing a review on my purchase from Angelic Pretty USA; I bought this
        Polka Dot Chocolate One piece in black.Now I bought from Angelic Pretty before, but
        I bought a dress from them back when Tokyo Rebel still stocked them, so I never
        purchased anything from their international of branch stores. As California is closer than
        Japan, I presumed the shipping might be less since I live in the states, but after the overall
        purchase I suspect it might have been the same cost, (for shipping.)

                After reading everything on the site, I made my purchase online fairly easily, with
         their shipping policy stating that packages typically arrive 2-3 business days. I placed my
         order September 14, with it arriving on the 17th. (Strangely enough, a few days ago, I get
         a delayed e-mail from them stating that it shipped. It came promptly on time, but it seems
         they forgot to send the notification e-mail until days afterwards.)

                 Now the packaging was fine; I usually do not judge shops if a mailed parcel was
        bent, as I understand it could have been from rough handling in transit, but in this case,
        the package arrived fine with no bents or scrapes. The dress itself was carefully packaged
        in plastic, and it came with the tags cut off.  Their was some little tags in Japanese along
        with it, but I have no idea if they're care instructions or not.

                  This was my first time buying from Angelic Pretty USA, and I have to say, just
         about everything went smoothly and promptly. The dress was $175 with $17 shipping,
          making the total $194. A little after this transaction, I learned some of the items are
         slightly cheaper in the International English site than the USA one, which makes sense
         to some degree. I'd say if you don't live in Japan, check the International site first, before
         purchasing from the USA one. Will I buy again? Yes, I will; the USA shop has good
         seasonal sales on occasion, and the shipping and processing went nicely, so I will
         continue to use them. ^^

 

 

                                                                          

Light Introspection and Generalities of this Blog

                   My blog is something I lovingly call my ,"personal convoluted mess", because I
           thought it organizes everything that I have going around my head pretty well. And I am
           very proud of it; more than anything I am doing this for fun, and for myself. I'm not sure
           where to go from here, really, but whenever I get the chance, I try to put a little
           bit of me in this blog, whether it's a personal opinion of something, or a personal hobby.
                    
                    Honestly, I don't know where this will take me in the future, but regardless of what
         happens, I'm going to try to continue in the best way possible and do my best. Most people
         who make blogs stick to one topic, or subject, and focus their entire blog on that thing, and
         it works wonderfully; it makes things a bit more easier to organize, and you don't have to
         worry about focusing on one topic over the other. I didn't want this though; I wanted a big
         thing that had different sections that contained a little part of me; something very different
         but all related to me. And since this is a public blog, I wanted it to have different topics
         covered, so if a person stumbles along interested in one topic, they might dig around and
         find other material they haven't heard of before and learn about it.

                      I don't think I've done any introspection posts like this yet; so I think I might do
           them from time to time on random occasions. Sorry for my disorganization of things,
           but I feel that I live better through spontaneity than organization; it's organization, but in
           my own wild and free way. I guess it would be better to say it's organized fine in my mind,
           and even though things might seem cluttered, I hope in the end, that even if I have a
           bunch of subjects in my mind, that I'm presenting what I like and what I think in an
           understandable way. I want to talk about my favorite books and fashions, and all my other
           neglected sections, but for some reason, I find talking about food the easiest thing to do.
         
                        I do plan on having a better input of posts this year; I will work harder to do so
          before the New Year. I can't make any promises, but I will try to update my more neglected
          sections, so at least I can feel satisfied there is more to this blog than tourist locations and
          restaurants! (Though I'm hoping it has helped somebody in some form or shape.~)
