Trolleys (or Streetcars) in Downtown Little Rock
So how many of you have been on a real, working trolley? It officially opened in downtown
Little Rock on November 1, 2004, and uses replicas of actual trolleys/street cars the city used until
a little after World War II. It uses a railway built in the street and traditional electrical lines, (it's
run by electricity.) Personally, I love it! I would like to see more towns and cities bringing trolleys
back, even if they're short run lines. The ones in Little Rock have two lines, a shorter one, and one
that goes on the bridge to North Little Rock. The lines will usually go through all the tourist
locations and hotels downtown, (a good chunk of them!) You can read up on info here, and here.
